About the position
The Associate Director, Project Manager (PM) at 4D Molecular Therapeutics will be responsible for ensuring the successful development of a gene therapy product through various stages, including IND-enabling studies, IND filing, and initiation of clinical trials. They will collaborate with a Project Leader and manage cross-functional meetings to align all functions on project status, actions, timelines, and risks. The PM will interface with different departments, track development progress, identify risks and opportunities, and drive teams to meet project timelines. This role reports directly to the VP and Head of Program Management.

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Experience in project management, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry
- Strong knowledge of drug development processes and regulations
- Ability to develop and monitor project timelines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to identify and mitigate risks
- Experience in managing external vendors and contracts
- Familiarity with biomarker/bioassay development and execution
- Ability to report progress and communicate effectively with senior management
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment
