About The Position

The Associate Banker I brings TD’s relationship-driven banking experience to life by serving as a trusted guide for clients. The role delivers everyday banking accurately and confidently, helps clients understand their options and supports their financial goals while upholding risk and regulatory standards.

As the financial center’s hospitality ambassador and first point of contact, the Associate Banker manages in-person and phone client flow, handles a broad range of transactions and multi-step activities within established financial limits, and connects clients with appropriate partners. The role educates clients about banking products, services and self-service solutions, identifies routine needs and issues, and escalates non-standard matters. It also safeguards client relationships through compliance with policies, AML requirements, identification and authentication standards, and documentation procedures.

This position is based in Wildwood, New Jersey, and is scheduled for 30 hours. The listed pay range is $21.50–$26.75 USD. The role requires availability during operating hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays as scheduled. TD provides job-related training and onboarding, development conversations, online learning and mentoring opportunities. The role also includes participation in team, performance and development activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of demonstrated experience working with clients; experience may include volunteering, education or military experience.
• Ability to work during operating hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays as scheduled.
• Ability to complete required job-related training upon hire.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate concisely, clearly and consistently.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and sound judgment in decision-making.
• Ability to schedule and prioritize work, work independently and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

• Teller or cash-handling experience in a client-facing role or financial institution.
• Notary license.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for clients and manage client flow in person and by phone.
• Deliver accurate, efficient everyday banking transactions and multi-step activities within established financial limits.
• Provide a consistent, relationship-driven client experience as a hospitality ambassador for the financial center.
• Build client trust through personalized, empathetic interactions and strengthen ongoing relationships.
• Identify client needs and opportunities, educate clients about banking products, services and digital capabilities, and refer them to appropriate partners or specialists.
• Use knowledge, insights, tools and resources to recommend appropriate client solutions.
• Resolve routine client requests and problems using standard procedures and escalate non-standard issues appropriately.
• Balance client needs with sound judgment, policy adherence and risk awareness.
• Verify client identification, maintain data integrity, and follow authentication, documentation, AML and other regulatory requirements.
• Identify discrepancies, material changes and risk indicators, escalating them in accordance with policy and procedure.
• Act in accordance with TD’s code of conduct and ethical standards and protect clients, colleagues and the Bank.
• Complete required training and continuously strengthen risk and compliance knowledge.
• Contribute to a positive team environment, collaborate with colleagues and share insights, lessons learned and best practices.
