About The Position
Small Girls PR is hiring an Associate Account Executive for its West Coast office, supporting consumer brands in food and beverage, technology, fitness, and lifestyle. The role provides foundational account support through documentation and organizational systems while also contributing ideas and taking an active role in media relations and pitching. The position offers varied experience across clients and campaigns. The role is hybrid, with employees working two days a week in the Los Angeles office. Small Girls PR is part of Orchestra, a communications company built for today’s media landscape.
Requirements
- At least 1–2 years of post-graduate experience in media relations, corporate communications, or public relations.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to error-free work.
- Experience securing top-tier press placements, with clips to demonstrate results.
- Strong interest in trends, culture, media, pop culture, and entertainment news.
Responsibilities
- Draft creative pitch angles that distinguish clients from competitors and generate feature-length stories.
- Build and maintain relationships with business and consumer media.
- Bring original campaign concepts and stunt ideas to brainstorms to advance client messaging.
- Maintain monthly activity reports and prepare weekly call agendas and recap notes.
- Assist with wrap reports and decks as needed.
- Monitor search engines, alerts, and social media for client placements and mentions; measure, capture, and interpret results.
- Share team learnings periodically at company-wide all-hands meetings.
