About The Position
Small Girls PR is hiring an Associate Account Executive for its West Coast office, supporting consumer brands across food and beverage, technology, fitness, and lifestyle. The role provides essential account support through documentation, call notes, and organizational systems while contributing ideas and execution to media relations efforts. The Associate Account Executive is one of the team’s lead pitching participants and will gain varied experience across clients and campaigns. The position is hybrid, with work in the Los Angeles office two days per week. Small Girls PR emphasizes equitable compensation, inclusive hiring, and a collaborative culture.
Requirements
- At least 1–2 years of post-graduate experience in media relations, corporate communications, or public relations.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to error-free work.
- Prior success securing top-tier press placements, with clips to demonstrate that work.
- Strong interest in trends, culture, media, pop culture, and entertainment news.
Responsibilities
- Develop creative pitch angles that distinguish clients from competitors and help secure feature-length stories.
- Build and maintain relationships with business and consumer media.
- Contribute original campaign concepts and stunt ideas during brainstorming sessions to support client messaging.
- Maintain account organization by managing monthly activity reports, weekly call agendas, and recap notes; assist with wrap reports and presentations as needed.
- Monitor search engines, alerts, and social media for client placements and mentions, and capture, measure, and interpret results.
- Periodically share the team’s learnings during company-wide all-hands meetings.
