Assistant Wellness Salon Manager
About The Position
The Assistant Wellness Salon Manager works alongside the Store Manager to help operate a salon, lead and coach the Wellness Consultants and Salon Support team, and drive store performance. The role supports recruiting, scheduling, and staff development; delivers strong customer service and professionally resolves concerns; and helps keep the salon clean, stocked, and compliant with health department standards. Responsibilities also include growing sales, controlling labor and costs, partnering on promotions and growth, and securely handling cash, deposits, and customer card data. PCI security training is included. Assistant Store Managers earn an average of $13–$17+ per hour, including base pay, up to 12% commission, and monthly bonuses; top performers may earn more. Salons operate seven days a week, and the schedule may include nights, weekends, and holidays. Occasional local travel may be needed for meetings, training, or supporting other salon locations. This is a security-sensitive position.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of retail, customer service, operations, or management experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to motivate others.
- Basic computer and point-of-sale (POS) skills.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to be on your feet for 7 or more hours a day and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Availability to work some nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to travel locally occasionally for meetings, training, or support at other salon locations.
