About The Position

The Assistant Wellness Salon Manager works alongside the Store Manager to operate a salon, coach and develop a high-energy team, and help grow salon results. The role combines customer service, team leadership, recruiting and scheduling, daily operations, sales growth, and cost control. Compensation averages $13–$17+ per hour, including base pay, up to 12% commission, and monthly bonuses; top performers may earn more. This is a security-sensitive position. Occasional local travel may be needed for meetings, training, or supporting other salon locations.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of retail, customer service, operations, or management experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to motivate others.
• Basic computer and point-of-sale (POS) skills.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to stand for 7 or more hours a day and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Expect to work some nights, weekends, and holidays; salons are open seven days a week.
• Occasional local travel may be needed for meetings, training, or supporting other salon locations.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside the Store Manager to run the salon.
• Lead and coach Wellness Consultants and the Salon Support team.
• Help recruit, schedule, and develop employees.
• Provide strong customer service and professionally resolve customer concerns.
• Keep the salon clean, stocked, and operating smoothly, and ensure it meets health department standards.
• Grow sales and control labor and costs to drive salon results.
• Partner with the Store Manager on promotions and growth.
• Handle salon cash, deposits, and customer card data securely; PCI security training is included.
