Assistant Wellness Salon Manager
About The Position
The Assistant Wellness Salon Manager works alongside the Store Manager to help run a salon, lead and coach Wellness Consultants and Salon Support staff, and support the salon’s sales and growth. The role includes helping recruit, schedule, and develop employees; providing customer service and professionally resolving concerns; maintaining a clean, stocked salon that meets health department standards; and managing salon cash, deposits, and customer card data securely. The Assistant Manager helps control labor and costs, partners with the Store Manager on promotions, and may travel locally for meetings, training, or support at other salon locations. The position is security-sensitive. Assistant Store Managers earn $13–$17+ per hour on average, including base pay, up to 12% commission, and a monthly bonus. Higher earnings may be possible for top performers. Schedules are designed with flexibility, but the salons operate seven days a week and the role requires some nights, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of retail, customer service, operations, or management experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to motivate others.
- Basic computer and point-of-sale (POS) skills.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to be on your feet for 7 or more hours a day.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Responsibilities
