About The Position

Raley's is hiring an Assistant Team Leader to assist with day-to-day operations across multiple areas of the store and help lead the team to success. The role calls for a servant leader with a passion for food, strong leadership and results-oriented skills, attention to detail, knowledge of retail best practices, and a focus on safety, sanitation, merchandising, and customer service. The Assistant Team Leader helps coordinate store operations, supports and develops Team Members, and provides excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. The role involves working a variety of shifts, including morning, midday, and night shifts. Applicants must be at least 18 years old. Current Raley's employees must apply through the internal portal, have had no disciplinary action in the past six months, and receive a recommendation and endorsement from their current leader.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Friendly and customer-service-oriented.
Exceptional leadership skills and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Self-motivated, with strong attention to detail, quality, and presentation.
Able to communicate effectively with coworkers and customers.
Able to work independently, manage time effectively, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Able to read, understand, and follow verbal and written directions.
Able to reliably meet the required work schedule and adhere to the company attendance policy.
Able to safely work in a fast-paced environment.
Physical demands may include standing, sitting, lifting and stocking up to 50 pounds, pushing, keyboarding, telephone use, walking, and bending for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Lead, train, coach, and communicate with all Team Members.
Operate a register and accurately handle customer cash, credit and debit payments, and change.
Assist in coordinating weekly merchandising and maintaining abundant store displays.
Assist customers by providing information and resolving complaints.
Maintain safety and sanitation standards throughout the store.
Develop future leaders.
Ensure compliance with company and store policies and procedures and applicable state and federal laws.
Work a variety of shifts to facilitate store operations, including morning, midday, and night shifts.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
