The Assistant Studio Manager supports daily and weekend operations at Austin Fitness Group (AFG) studios, helping ensure an exceptional member experience at every touchpoint. The role serves as a key contact for prospective and current members, represents the brand, communicates the studio’s programs and benefits, and supports membership sales and retention through relationship-building. The Assistant Studio Manager partners with the studio team to support sales goals, maintain a welcoming, high-energy environment, and deliver a seamless member experience. The position reports directly to the Studio Manager and does not manage a team. The role is primarily based in a fitness studio, with work at the front desk and throughout the studio floor. It involves frequent interaction with members, guests, and colleagues, and administrative work using a computer, phones, and standard office equipment. Music and group fitness classes may create moderate to loud noise levels. Occasional participation in offsite community events may be required. No travel is anticipated unless needed for training or other company needs. This is a full-time position that includes weekends and holidays. The position requires frequent standing, walking, and movement around the studio, regular communication in potentially loud surroundings, and occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of items such as products or supplies weighing approximately 25–30 pounds. Bending, reaching, and light cleaning may also be required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
