About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in daily store operations and helps lead the team to achieve sales and customer satisfaction goals. Responsibilities span merchandising, inventory control, product launches, promotions, customer engagement, compliance, team training, and development. The role requires a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as travel to nearby store locations within a 35-mile radius. Reliable transportation is required. Compensation is $22 per hour plus commission.

Requirements

1–3 years of retail management experience.
High school diploma or GED.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Availability for a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Willingness to travel to nearby store locations within a 35-mile radius.
Reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

Retail management experience in wireless, broadband, or consumer electronics.
Familiarity with wireless or telecommunications industry terminology.
Associate or Bachelor’s degree.
Bilingual in Spanish or French.

Responsibilities

Assist the Store Manager with daily store operations, including merchandising, inventory control, and product launches.
Collaborate with the Store Manager on product positioning, promotions, and customer engagement to meet and exceed revenue goals.
Ensure compliance with company policies, including cash handling, inventory management, and operational audits.
Lead the team to achieve and surpass sales goals through strategic selling, upselling, and cross-selling Optimum product lines.
Assist with onboarding and training new hires.
Foster a collaborative, performance-driven culture focused on accountability and recognition.
Maintain high customer satisfaction standards, including Net Promoter Score (NPS) goals.
Present, promote, and sell products and services to existing and prospective customers using effective product knowledge.
