About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager supports the daily operations of a Subway location, coaches team members, and helps ensure food quality and service standards. The role steps in for the Store Manager when needed and helps maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. The position may also provide support for deli or quick-service restaurant operations as needed.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
• Ability to show patience and communicate articulately while training new employees.
• The job requires bending, standing, and walking throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and model exceptional customer service.
• Train and support team members on food preparation, safety, and service.
• Assist with hiring, scheduling, and performance feedback.
• Monitor food quality, cleanliness, and equipment.
• Manage inventory and ordering to minimize waste.
• Control labor, food costs, and expenses to meet budget goals.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and labor laws.
• Step in for the Store Manager when needed.
• Support deli or QSR operations as needed.
