About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager helps lead a Subway location by supporting daily operations, coaching team members, and ensuring food quality and service standards. The role steps in for the Store Manager when needed and helps maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
• Ability to demonstrate patience and communicate clearly while training new employees.
• Must be able to bend, stand, and walk throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and model exceptional customer service.
• Train and support team members on food preparation, safety, and service.
• Assist with hiring, scheduling, and performance feedback.
• Monitor food quality, cleanliness, and equipment.
• Manage inventory and ordering to minimize waste.
• Control labor, food costs, and expenses to meet budget goals.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and labor laws.
• Support deli or quick-service restaurant operations as needed.
• Step in for the Store Manager when needed.
