About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager helps lead a Subway location by supporting daily operations, coaching team members, and ensuring food quality and service standards are met. The role may step in for the Store Manager when needed and helps maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Have basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
• Demonstrate patience and communicate articulately while training new employees.
• Be able to bend, stand, and walk throughout the workday.
• Be able to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and model exceptional customer service.
• Train and support team members on food preparation, safety, and service.
• Assist with hiring, scheduling, and performance feedback.
• Monitor food quality, cleanliness, and equipment.
• Manage inventory and ordering to minimize waste.
• Control labor, food costs, and expenses to meet budget goals.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and labor laws.
• Support deli or quick-service restaurant operations as needed.
• Step in for the Store Manager when needed.
