About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager assists the Store Manager in leading a customer-focused, sales-driven, profitable, and productive store. The role inspires and motivates the team through Pacsun’s core values, reinforces a customer-focused selling culture, and ensures the execution of store KPIs. The Assistant Store Manager also holds employees accountable for following company policies and procedures. The position oversees customer experience, associate coaching and engagement, operational execution, visual standards, merchandise flow, and store and stockroom organization. It includes serving as floor supervisor when needed, supporting a safe shopping and working environment, and helping recruit, develop, and retain talent. This is a full-time position requiring 32–40 hours per week and flexibility to work weekends, nights, and peak holiday periods.

Requirements

Passion for products, brands, fashion, and trends.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Effective written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Strong communication skills.
Excellent time-management skills.
Proficiency in math and strong computer skills.
Ability to work 32–40 hours per week.
Flexibility to work weekends, nights, and peak holiday periods.
Frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
Frequently sit or stand for long periods and climb ladders as needed.
Ability to maneuver around sales floor, stockroom, and office areas.
Ability to work in an open environment with fluctuating temperatures and standard lighting.
Ability to travel by hotel, airplane, or car may be required for Store Manager and above roles only.

Responsibilities

Ensure team members deliver an engaging, positive, authentic, and customer-focused experience.
Handle customer situations in compliance with policies and procedures, seek appropriate solutions, and escalate issues when needed.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store and stockroom.
Share customer feedback with the leadership team to improve the customer experience.
Serve as floor supervisor as needed, including covering non-peak periods and breaks.
Hold self and others accountable for completing operational tasks.
Coach associates and provide feedback on Sales Associate performance.
Recognize and reward outstanding associate performance to support engagement.
Direct associates so they understand company directives and standards.
Prioritize and delegate tasks to meet operational needs.
Support and execute visual directives and maintain company visual standards.
Improve efficiency across store operational processes.
Maintain merchandise flow, filling, and presentation standards in the store and stockroom.
Ensure associates follow company policies, procedures, and Safety Program practices.
Represent the Pacsun brand through passion for products, brands, fashion, and trends.
Demonstrate Pacsun core values and learn about products, brands, fashion, and trends.
Build cross-functional partnerships and contribute to business results, transparency, collaboration, and accountability.
Recruit, identify, develop, and retain talent.
Model company culture, norms, and conduct while remaining approachable and encouraging associate feedback.
