About The Position

Clarks is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to support store leadership and help build a successful culture of sales and performance. The role supports a team-selling environment, store recruitment, associate training and coaching, goal-setting, staffing, employee relations when the Store Manager is absent, P&L analysis, company initiatives, merchandising, and the safety and security of associates and customers. The position requires standing for extended periods, frequent bending, climbing and moving ladders, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

Retail experience.
Prior management experience.

Responsibilities

Partner with store leadership to drive a successful culture of sales and performance.
Support a team-selling environment.
Participate in all areas of store recruitment.
Teach, coach, and train store associates within an established timeframe.
Help create achievable, high goals for yourself and associates, and ensure the store has the staffing needed to meet its goals.
Handle employee relations issues within the store when the Store Manager is absent.
Participate in analysis of the P&L.
Lead associates through change and champion company initiatives.
Ensure products are merchandised according to company directives.
Ensure the safety and security of associates and customers.
