About The Position
Clarks is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store leadership and help drive a successful culture of sales and performance. The role supports team selling, recruitment, associate training and coaching, store goals, employee relations, financial analysis, company initiatives, merchandising, and store safety and security. In the Store Manager’s absence, the Assistant Store Manager is responsible for employee relations issues within the store. The position involves standing for extended periods, frequent bending, climbing and moving ladders, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Responsibilities
- Partner with store leadership to drive a successful culture of sales and performance.
- Support a team-selling environment.
- Participate in all areas of store recruitment.
- Teach, coach, and train store associates within an established timeframe.
- Help create reachable, high goals for yourself and associates, and ensure the store has staffing levels needed to achieve total store goals.
- Handle employee relations issues within the store in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Participate in analysis of the profit and loss statement.
- Lead change for associates and champion company initiatives.
- Ensure products are merchandised according to company directives.
- Ensure the safety and security of associates and customers.
