About The Position

Clarks is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to support store leadership and help drive sales, performance, and a successful team culture. The role includes coaching and developing associates, supporting recruitment and employee relations, contributing to store goals and P&L analysis, implementing company initiatives, maintaining product merchandising, and ensuring the safety and security of associates and customers. The position requires retail experience and prior management experience. Physical demands include standing for extended periods, frequent bending, climbing and moving ladders, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Partner with store leadership to drive a successful culture of sales and performance.
• Support a team-selling environment.
• Participate in all areas of store recruitment.
• Teach, coach, and train store associates within an established timeframe.
• Help set achievable but challenging goals for yourself and associates, and ensure the store has the staffing needed to meet its goals.
• Handle employee relations issues within the store in the Store Manager's absence.
• Participate in analysis of the profit and loss statement.
• Lead change for associates and champion company initiatives.
• Ensure products are merchandised according to company direction.
• Ensure the safety and security of associates and customers.
