About The Position

As an Assistant Store Manager, you support the Store Manager in building a team that delivers results through an excellent customer experience. You share responsibility for executing store operations and maintaining a visually appealing store, while creating a positive environment that develops and engages managers, associates, and customers. The Assistant Store Manager reports to the Store Manager.

The role involves partnering with the Store Manager to grow the business, developing team members, overseeing an assigned division, and supporting consistent merchandising and operational standards. You also perform point-of-sale transactions on designated shifts and carry out management functions when the Store Manager is absent. Occasional travel to other store locations may be required if needed.

Requirements

• Flexible availability to meet business needs, including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to bend, lift, open, and move product and fixtures weighing up to 50 lbs. as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years of experience as a Co/Assistant Manager in a similar-volume apparel business.
• A proven track record of exceeding sales and statistical expectations.
• Occasional travel to other store locations, if needed.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Manager to create action plans that achieve results and grow the business.
• Demonstrate product knowledge, selling skills, and operational skills to maximize sales.
• Engage with customers to build relationships and brand loyalty using company tools.
• Partner with the Store Manager to develop team members committed to creating a great customer experience.
• Oversee an assigned division of responsibility and be accountable for results.
• Support the Store Manager in consistently meeting store merchandising and operational standards.
• Learn all aspects of the business and share ideas to drive the business.
• Remain composed when facing challenges and unforeseen circumstances.
• Perform POS transactions on designated shifts and execute management functions in the Store Manager’s absence.
