About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in building and developing a team that delivers results through an excellent customer experience. The role shares responsibility for executing store operations and maintaining a visually appealing store, while fostering a positive environment for managers, associates, and customers. The Assistant Store Manager reports to the Store Manager.

This position partners with the Store Manager to grow the business, achieve sales and operational results, develop team members, and maintain store standards. The Assistant Store Manager also oversees an assigned division of responsibility, performs point-of-sale transactions on designated shifts, and carries out management functions when the Store Manager is absent. The role requires flexible availability, including evenings and weekends, and may involve occasional travel to other store locations.

Requirements

• Flexible availability to meet the needs of the business, including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to bend, lift, open, and move product and fixtures weighing up to 50 pounds as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years of experience as a Co/Assistant Manager in a similar-volume apparel business.
• A proven track record of exceeding sales and statistical expectations.
• Ability to travel occasionally to other store locations, if needed.

• Partner with the Store Manager to create action plans that achieve results and grow the business.
• Demonstrate product knowledge, selling skills, and operational skills to maximize sales.
• Engage with customers to build relationships and brand loyalty using company tools.
• Partner with the Store Manager to develop team members committed to creating a great customer experience.
• Oversee an assigned division of responsibility and be accountable for its results.
• Support the Store Manager in consistently meeting store merchandising and operational standards.
• Learn about all aspects of the business and share ideas to drive the business.
• Remain composed in the face of challenges and unforeseen circumstances.
• Perform point-of-sale transactions on designated shifts and execute management functions in the Store Manager’s absence.
