About The Position

Bluewater Convenience Stores is hiring an Assistant Store Manager in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. This key store leader helps guide team members, maintain operational excellence, and serves as manager on duty when the Store Manager is away. The role is suited to a hands-on, motivated leader who can help drive results and support a positive employee and customer experience in a fast-paced convenience store environment. The Assistant Store Manager supports store operations and standards, loss prevention and safety, sales awareness, and team leadership. The role may also involve cashier and food service duties when business needs require. Responsibilities may be modified to fit business needs.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Strong communication and multitasking skills.
Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
Desire to grow and succeed in a team-oriented environment.
Ability to stand for long periods, bend, reach, and lift up to 40 pounds.
Must be available for flexible schedules, including 10-hour shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check.

Responsibilities

Ensure the store is clean, stocked, organized, and inviting.
Maintain merchandise presentation, pricing accuracy, and product availability.
Uphold brand standards for fuel station appearance, safety, and compliance.
Execute monthly promotions and ensure signage and point-of-sale materials are properly displayed.
Assist with daily reporting and ensure accurate documentation and communication.
Perform cashier and food service duties when business needs require.
Monitor daily cash handling, inventory accuracy, and fuel drive-offs.
Enforce safety and security policies and promptly report and follow up on hazards.
Maintain awareness of labor laws and company policies in daily operations.
Ensure timely reporting and documentation of accidents and incidents.
Monitor competitor fuel pricing and submit updates to corporate as required.
Support store recruiting efforts and assist in interviewing and hiring.
Train, coach, and motivate employees to achieve goals and deliver excellent service.
Help conduct performance discussions and support improvement plans.
Maintain a professional demeanor and resolve employee or customer concerns effectively.
Provide corrective action or assist with terminations when requested.
Serve as manager on duty when the Store Manager is away.
