About The Position
The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for all aspects of store operations, with key areas including labor management, daily operations, and customer care. The role includes supporting a positive, people-focused workplace and helping provide leadership development and advancement opportunities. The company also contributes to the community through its Joy In Childhood Foundation. The Assistant Store Manager helps ensure customers receive prompt, helpful service and that employees provide exceptional customer care. The position also involves staffing and training associates, coordinating daily store activities, maintaining operational paperwork, reviewing sales, ordering supplies, and completing opening or closing duties.
Responsibilities
- Hire and train associates.
- Create work schedules and delegate work.
- Evaluate employee performance.
- File paperwork and analyze weekly sales numbers.
- Order supplies.
- Perform opening or closing duties.
- Greet customers, provide prompt and helpful service, and handle customer complaints professionally.
- Ensure employees provide exceptional customer care.
