About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager assists the Store Manager in leading a customer-focused, sales-driven, profitable, and productive store. The role inspires and motivates the team through Pacsun core values, supports a strong selling culture, and ensures store KPIs and company policies and procedures are followed. The Assistant Store Manager helps deliver an engaging customer experience, oversees operational and visual standards, supports associate performance and engagement, and contributes to recruiting and developing talent.

Requirements

Passion for product, brands, fashion, and trends.
Effective written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Strong communication skills.
Excellent time management skills.
Proficiency in math and strong computer skills.
Ability to work 32–40 hours per week.
Ability to work weekends, nights, and peak holiday periods.
Ability to frequently lift or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 35 pounds.
Ability to frequently sit or stand for long periods and climb ladders as needed.
Ability to maneuver around sales-floor, stockroom, and office areas.
Ability to work in an open environment with fluctuating temperatures and standard lighting.

Responsibilities

Promote a customer-focused mindset and ensure team members provide an engaging, positive, and authentic customer experience.
Handle customer situations in accordance with policies and procedures, seek to resolve issues, and escalate as appropriate.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store and stockroom.
Share customer feedback with the leadership team to improve the customer experience.
Serve as floor supervisor as needed, including covering breaks and other non-peak periods.
Hold self and others accountable for completing operational tasks.
Coach associates and provide feedback on performance; recognize and reward outstanding performance.
Communicate company directives and standards to associates and delegate tasks to meet operational needs.
Support and execute visual directives and maintain company visual standards.
Improve efficiency in store operations and maintain merchandise flow, filling, and presentation standards.
Ensure associates follow company policies, procedures, and Safety Program practices.
Represent the Pacsun brand and demonstrate passion for its products, brands, fashion, and trends.
Recruit, identify, develop, and retain talent.
Build cross-functional partnerships and promote transparency, collaboration, and accountability.
Model company culture, conduct, integrity, and confidentiality while remaining approachable and encouraging associate feedback.
