About The Position

Mach 1 is hiring an Assistant Store Manager for its new location in Marion, Illinois. The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for managing the entire location, including personnel, when the Store Manager is absent. The role also involves providing excellent customer service and helping ensure the store achieves the highest profitability. Pay starts at $15.50 per hour and increases to $16.50 after a $0.25 pay increase every three months during the first year, followed by regular increases. Advancement opportunities are available. Employees are paid weekly, with same-day pay available. A background screen is required.

Responsibilities

Manage the entire location, including personnel, in the absence of the Store Manager.
Provide excellent customer service and help ensure the highest profitability of the store.
Assist the Store Manager with daily paperwork and filing daily reports.
Conduct inventory counts and cash audits.
Ensure all deposits are taken to the bank daily.
Record invoices properly for inventory control.
Communicate daily with sales associates and corporate office personnel.
Work with vendors and ensure proper placement of orders.
Create schedules without exceeding allotted labor hours.
Ensure the store's appearance reflects company standards.
Manage prices by checking competitor pricing.
Follow all laws pertaining to store operations.
Ensure all personnel adhere to company policies.
Handle staffing issues as they arise.
Ensure safety in the workplace.
