About The Position

Set up and operate one or more machines to cut and process screen frame material to specifications, or cut and punch wood, metal, or glass materials. The role includes directing other personnel to help maximize equipment efficiency, adjusting machines to produce parts within tolerance while maintaining acceptable scrap levels, and inspecting parts for dimensional accuracy, camber, bow, and scratches. Quality checks are performed using a caliper and tape measure or check gauge. The position also involves tooling changeovers, changing saw blades and adjusting cutting depth as needed, entering production orders into the controller, lubricating machines and tooling according to the preventive maintenance schedule or as needed, and completing cleaning requirements. The employee must operate equipment safely, report nonconformance, maintain required documentation, and train and assist personnel with processes. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Reading and writing skills are essential.
Ability to read and comprehend simple correspondence.
Ability to process specified instructions.
Ability to add and subtract in all units of measure using whole numbers.
Ability to measure, read, and understand a tape measure.
