About The Position
The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in running store operations and delivering exceptional client experiences while driving sales and profitability. The role leads, coaches, and develops the team; recruits and onboards talent; provides ongoing feedback and performance appraisals; resolves client concerns; and promotes loyalty and personalized service. It also maintains store presentation and compliance with Sephora policies and brand guidelines, and optimizes inventory and staffing in a fast-changing retail environment. This is an on-site, salaried, exempt, full-time position at Sephora’s Issaquah Commons store in Issaquah, Washington. Availability is required for evenings, weekends, and holidays. The role involves lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, bending and stretching to stock shelves, standing and walking the sales floor for an entire shift, working in a fragrance-filled environment, and handling and applying products to clients, with or without accommodation.
Requirements
- Demonstrated success as a retail assistant manager in fast-paced, high-volume environments, driving results and elevating team performance through hands-on leadership.
- Strong ability to recruit, inspire, and develop talent to deliver results and foster a collaborative atmosphere.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build trust, provide constructive feedback, and facilitate open dialogue.
- Commitment to team development through tailored mentorship, real-time coaching, and actionable feedback.
- Experience creating personalized client experiences that build loyalty while balancing operational priorities and business growth.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
