About The Position

JD Finish Line is hiring management team members for its Macy's store in Rockaway Townsquare, Rockaway, New Jersey. Management team members oversee daily store operations, lead and develop employees, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. The roles support sales and profitability, manage merchandise and inventory, maintain store standards, and contribute to the company's growth. Schedules include availability for mornings, days, nights, weekends, and holidays, with additional hours during peak sales periods as applicable.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Retail Store Manager or in a similar role, including a record of achieving sales targets and managing a team.
• Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Passion for customer service and creating memorable shopping experiences.
• Ability to analyze sales data, manage budgets, and make data-driven decisions.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Proficiency in retail management software and basic computer applications.
• Assistant Store Manager: open availability for store opening and closing hours, including mornings, days, and nights; availability at least five days per week; standard work week of at least five days and an average of 44 hours, with increased hours during peak sales periods.
• Supervisor: availability for store opening and closing hours, including mornings, days, and nights; availability at least five days per week; minimum standard work week of 30 hours.
• All management roles require weekend and holiday availability, punctuality and regular attendance, and reliable transportation.
• Must speak, read, and write English clearly enough to communicate with customers, supervise staff, understand corporate sales reports, and perform business-related mathematics.
• May need to move to different locations within the company's network based on operational needs and career growth.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job, including prolonged standing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pulling, climbing ladders or stairs, and regularly lifting items weighing 5–25 pounds; heavier lifting may sometimes be required. Good vision, including color differentiation, is required.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Two or more years of retail leadership experience, strongly preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, and develop team members; foster a positive work environment, set goals, and provide ongoing feedback.
• Deliver an exceptional shopping experience by addressing customer needs, resolving issues, and upholding customer service standards.
• Drive store sales and profitability through merchandise management, promotional strategies, and achievement of sales targets.
• Oversee inventory management, visual merchandising, store maintenance, and compliance with company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.
• Manage store budgets and expenses, and analyze sales data to improve performance and revenue.
• Implement local marketing initiatives and build community relationships to strengthen brand presence and attract customers.
• Monitor industry trends and competitor activity, identify improvement opportunities, and implement solutions.
• Perform additional duties and projects as required.
