About The Position

JD Finish Line is hiring store management team members for its Midland Park Mall location in Midland, Texas. Management team members oversee daily store operations, lead and develop employees, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. The position contributes to sales, profitability, operational performance, and the company’s growth in a fast-paced retail environment. The posting covers Assistant Store Manager and Supervisor roles. Assistant Store Managers must be available for a minimum standard work week of five days and an average standard week of 44 hours, with increased hours during peak sales periods. Supervisors must have at least five days of availability and a minimum standard work week of 30 hours. All management team members must be available on weekends and holidays, and to work the hours needed to open and close the store.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Retail Store Manager or in a similar role, with a track record of achieving sales targets and managing a team.
Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Passion for outstanding customer service and creating memorable shopping experiences.
Ability to analyze sales data, manage budgets, and make data-driven decisions.
Proficiency in retail management software and basic computer applications.
Availability to work flexible hours, including mornings, days, nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by the role.
Assistant Store Manager: open availability for hours necessary to open and close the store; at least five days per standard work week; average standard work week of 44 hours, with increased hours during peak sales periods.
Supervisor: availability for hours necessary to open and close the store; at least five days of availability; minimum standard work week of 30 hours.
Punctuality and regular attendance consistent with company policies.
Reliable transportation.
Ability to speak English clearly to converse with customers and effectively supervise staff.
Ability to read and write English and perform business-related mathematics to carry out normal business duties and understand corporate sales reports.
May need to move to different locations within the company’s network based on operational needs and career growth.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including prolonged standing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pulling, climbing ladders or stairs, and regularly lifting items weighing 5–25 pounds; heavier lifting may sometimes be required.
Good vision, including the ability to differentiate colors.
