About The Position

JD Finish Line is hiring Assistant Store Managers and Supervisors for its Macy's store at Montclair Place in Montclair, California. Management team members oversee daily store operations, lead and develop employees, and deliver excellent customer experiences while contributing to store sales and company growth. The work takes place in a moderately noisy retail setting and requires flexibility to work mornings, days, nights, weekends, and holidays. The Assistant Store Manager has a minimum standard work week of five days, averaging 44 hours and increasing during peak sales periods. The Supervisor requires availability for at least five days and a minimum 30-hour work week. Candidates must be at least 18 and have reliable transportation. The company may require employees to move to other locations within its network based on operational needs and career growth.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Retail Store Manager or in a similar role, with a record of achieving sales targets and managing a team.
• Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Passion for customer service and creating memorable shopping experiences.
• Ability to analyze sales data, manage budgets, and make data-driven decisions.
• Proficiency in retail management software and basic computer applications.
• Availability for the hours necessary to open and close the store, including mornings, days, and nights.
• Assistant Store Manager: availability for a minimum standard work week of five days; the average standard work week is 44 hours and may increase during peak sales periods.
• Supervisor: availability for a minimum of five days and a minimum standard work week of 30 hours.
• All management roles require weekend and holiday availability, punctuality, and regular attendance consistent with company policies.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to speak English clearly to converse with customers and supervise staff, and to read and write English and perform business-related mathematics.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
