About The Position

JD Finish Line is hiring management team members for its Columbia Center store in Kennewick, Washington. Assistant Store Managers and Supervisors manage daily store operations, lead and develop employees, and deliver strong customer experiences. They contribute to store sales, profitability, operational performance, and company growth. The role is in a moderately noisy retail setting and requires flexible availability, including weekends and holidays. The position requires a high school diploma or GED and candidates must be at least 18 years old. Retail leadership experience is strongly preferred.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Proven experience as a Retail Store Manager or in a similar role, including a record of meeting sales targets and managing a team.
• Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to excellent customer service and memorable shopping experiences.
• Ability to analyze sales data, manage budgets, and make data-driven decisions.
• Proficiency with retail management software and basic computer applications.
• Assistant Store Manager: open availability for store opening and closing hours, including mornings, days, and nights; minimum standard work week of five days; average standard work week of 44 hours, with increased hours during peak sales periods.
• Supervisor: availability for store opening and closing hours, including mornings, days, and nights; at least five days of availability; minimum standard 30-hour work week.
• All management roles require weekend and holiday availability, punctuality, and regular attendance consistent with company policies.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must speak, read, and write English sufficiently to converse with customers, supervise staff, understand corporate sales reports, and perform business-related mathematics.
• May need to move to other locations within the company network based on operational needs and career growth.
• Physical ability to stand for approximately five to 14 hours per day, and to work long periods during peak sales periods.
• Ability to stoop, kneel, reach, and pull to place merchandise on customers’ feet and obtain or stock merchandise.
• May need to climb ladders or ascend and descend stairs to stock or obtain merchandise.
• Ability to regularly lift items weighing 5–25 pounds; heavier weights may be required in certain circumstances.
• Good vision, including color differentiation.

• Two or more years of retail leadership experience is strongly preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
