About The Position

JD Finish Line is hiring management team members for its West Towne Mall store in Madison, Wisconsin. Management team members oversee daily store operations, lead and develop staff, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. The role includes responsibility for store sales and profitability, merchandising, inventory, budgets, expense control, compliance, and community marketing. Managers are also expected to identify opportunities for improvement and carry out additional duties and projects as required. The posting describes distinct minimum schedules by role. Assistant Store Managers need open availability, including the hours required to open and close the store, a minimum standard work week of five days, and an average standard work week of 44 hours, with increased hours during peak sales periods. Supervisors need availability during opening and closing hours and at least five days of availability, with a minimum standard 30-hour work week. All management team members must be available on weekends and holidays.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Retail Store Manager or in a similar role, with a record of achieving sales targets and managing a team.
Strong leadership abilities and excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Customer-service focus and a passion for creating memorable shopping experiences.
Ability to analyze sales data, manage budgets, and make data-driven decisions.
Proficiency in retail management software and basic computer applications.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Must have reliable transportation.
Must speak English clearly to converse with customers and supervise staff effectively.
Must be able to read and write English and perform business-related mathematics.
Must be punctual and maintain regular attendance consistent with company policies.
Must be available on weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Two or more years of retail leadership experience, strongly preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
