About The Position

JD Finish Line is hiring management team members for its Mayfair Mall location in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. Management team members oversee daily store operations, lead and develop staff, and deliver strong customer experiences while contributing to store performance and company growth. The role includes responsibility for sales, merchandising, inventory, budgets, customer service, and community engagement. The position operates in a moderately noisy retail setting and requires flexible availability, including weekends and holidays. The description covers both Assistant Store Manager and Supervisor positions, whose minimum weekly hours differ.

Requirements

Proven experience as a retail store manager or in a similar role, with a record of achieving sales targets and managing a team.
Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Commitment to excellent customer service and memorable shopping experiences.
Ability to analyze sales data, manage budgets, and make data-driven decisions.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Proficiency in retail management software and basic computer applications.
Assistant Store Manager: open availability for store opening and closing hours, including mornings, days, and nights; minimum standard work week of 5 days; average standard work week of 44 hours, with increased hours during peak sales periods.
Supervisor: availability for store opening and closing hours, including mornings, days, and nights; minimum availability of 5 days; minimum standard work week of 30 hours.
All management: weekend and holiday availability; punctuality and regular attendance; reliable transportation; clear spoken English to converse with customers and supervise staff; English reading and writing skills and business-related mathematics ability.
May need to work at different locations within the company network based on operational needs and career growth.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Able to meet the physical demands of the role, including prolonged standing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pulling, climbing ladders or stairs, and regularly lifting 5–25 pounds; higher weights may be required in certain circumstances.
Good vision, including ability to differentiate colors.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

Recruit, train, and develop team members; establish goals and provide ongoing feedback.
