About The Position

The Peninsula Chicago is seeking an Assistant Spa Director to join its Spa team, help achieve company objectives, and create memorable guest experiences. The role is in a busy, fast-paced luxury property and includes responsibility for spa retail operations, spa facilities, inventory, maintenance, and associate supervision. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.

The salary range is $70,000–$80,000 per year.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of managerial experience in a similar role at a luxury property.
• Ability to handle a high level of work demand and pressure.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Must have work authorization in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of PMS/Opera.
• Some knowledge of the rooms department.

Responsibilities

• Manage spa retail operations and personnel, ensuring operations adhere to business plan objectives.
• Review and approve purchase planners, pricing recommendations, and inventory tracking.
• Manage and ensure the cleanliness of spa facilities.
• Ensure completion of daily checklists and hourly walkthroughs.
• Delegate and supervise maintenance improvements and member requests.
• Recommend improved cleaning products or methods to optimize sanitation and cleanliness.
• Monitor mechanical, electrical, and heating facilities through routine preventative maintenance and repairs, and follow notification procedures when equipment fails.
• Maintain a proper inventory system for spa services and products.
• Train, supervise, and schedule associates to ensure continuous coverage and efficient service delivery.
