About The Position
The Peninsula Chicago is seeking an Assistant Spa Director to join its Spa team, help achieve company objectives, and create memorable guest experiences. This role manages spa retail operations and personnel, oversees spa facility cleanliness and maintenance, and trains, supervises, and schedules associates to support efficient service delivery. The position is in a busy, fast-paced luxury property environment.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of managerial experience in a similar role in a luxury property.
- Ability to handle a high level of work demand and pressure.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Must have work authorization in the United States.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of PMS/Opera.
- Some knowledge of the rooms department.
Responsibilities
- Manage spa retail operations and personnel, ensuring retail operations align with business plan objectives.
- Review and approve purchase planners, pricing recommendations, and inventory tracking.
- Manage and ensure the cleanliness of spa facilities, including completion of daily checklists and hourly walkthroughs.
- Delegate and supervise maintenance improvements and member requests.
- Recommend cleaning products or methods to support optimal sanitation and cleanliness.
- Monitor mechanical, electrical, and heating facilities through routine preventative maintenance and repairs, and follow proper notification procedures when equipment fails.
- Maintain the inventory system for spa services and products.
- Train, supervise, and schedule associates to ensure continuous coverage and efficient service delivery.
