Assistant Spa Director
About The Position
Massage Heights is seeking an Assistant Retreat Director who reports directly to the Retreat Director. The role assists the Spa Director in supervising all aspects of Retreat operations, including revenue and profitability, inventory management, and daily execution of brand systems and processes. The Assistant Director helps ensure exceptional guest service and a positive team-member culture and satisfaction. The ideal candidate excels in sales and is responsible, ambitious, and diligent. Massage Heights is a national franchise chain of massage and skincare Retreats in the United States and Canada. Its locally owned and operated Retreats provide massage therapy and skincare in serene environments and support members’ and guests’ wellness goals through therapeutic and healing services. The schedule includes varied hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, with 6–8 hour shifts. Day and evening shifts are available.
Requirements
- Minimum one year of sales or retail management experience.
- Self-starter mentality with leadership, organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience training and coaching employees and resolving conflicts.
- Working knowledge of computers and standard software.
- Basic business math skills.
- Ability to work varied hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, in 6–8 hour shifts.
Nice To Haves
- Hands-on experience with Zenoti or similar spa point-of-sale software systems.
- Understanding of the spa environment and massage and skincare services.
- Experience working in a franchise model.
Responsibilities
- Assist with recruiting, hiring, training, developing, and retaining employees.
- Facilitate front desk associate training as assigned, including coaching and role-playing to support membership sales.
- Manage team-member schedules to ensure proper execution of daily operations.
- Collaborate with the Spa Director to set individual team-member and overall Retreat goals.
- Create an environment passionate about providing excellent guest service.
- Build guest loyalty by consistently following Massage Heights’ operating system.
- Assist the Spa Director in supervising Retreat operations, including revenue and profitability, inventory management, and daily execution of brand systems and processes.
- Help ensure exceptional guest service and team-member culture and satisfaction.
