About The Position
The Assistant Salon Manager at SmartStyle Salon provides leadership and support to the salon manager while delivering high-quality guest service. The role includes understanding guests’ needs, providing quality consultations, and performing requested hair and specialty services efficiently and professionally. SmartStyle is located inside Walmart and is operated by Requis Salons, an independently owned Regis franchisee.
Requirements
- Hold a current cosmetology or barber license as required by state regulations.
- Be willing and able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Be comfortable with technology and administrative tasks.
- Be able to read, write, and perform basic math.
- Have good eyesight for observing hair, including close vision and color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Be comfortable with standing, lifting, reaching, bending, and repetitive movements, including occasionally lifting 10–25 pounds.
- Be comfortable with exposure to treatment chemicals and fragrances.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and assist the salon manager.
- Deliver exceptional guest service and understand guests’ needs.
- Provide quality consultations.
- Perform requested services efficiently and professionally.
- Perform administrative tasks using salon technology, which may include closing out the system at the end of the day.
