About The Position

The Assistant Salon Manager at SmartStyle Salon provides leadership and support to the salon manager while delivering exceptional guest service. The role involves understanding guests’ needs, providing quality consultations, and performing requested hair services efficiently and professionally. SmartStyle is located inside Walmart and offers haircuts, color and highlights, waxing, and specialty services. The salon is operated by Requis Salons, an independently owned Regis franchisee.

Requirements

• Hold a current cosmetology or barber license as required by state regulations.
• Be willing and able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Be tech savvy and able to perform administrative tasks.
• Be able to read, write, and do basic math.
• Have good eyesight for observing hair, including close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Be comfortable standing, lifting, reaching, bending, and performing repetitive movements; occasionally lift 10–25 pounds.
• Be comfortable smelling and working around fragrances and chemicals used in treatments.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and assist the salon manager.
• Deliver exceptional guest service and understand guests’ needs.
• Provide quality consultations and perform requested services efficiently and professionally.
• Perform administrative tasks using salon technology, potentially including closing out the system at the end of the day.
