About The Position
SmartStyle Salon, located inside Walmart, offers hair services including haircuts, color and highlights, waxing, and specialty services. The Assistant Salon Manager provides leadership and support to the salon manager while delivering exceptional guest service. The role includes understanding guests’ needs, providing quality consultations, and performing requested services efficiently and professionally. The franchisee is Requis Salons, an independently owned and operated Regis franchisee.
Requirements
- Hold a current cosmetology or barber license as required by state regulations.
- Be willing and able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Be comfortable with technology and able to perform administrative tasks.
- Be able to read, write, and perform basic math.
- Have good eyesight for observing guests’ hair, including close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
- Be comfortable standing, lifting, reaching, bending, and performing repetitive movements; occasionally lift 10–25 lbs.
- Be comfortable with exposure to fragrances and chemicals used in treatments.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and assist the salon manager.
- Deliver exceptional guest service and understand guests’ needs.
- Provide quality consultations and perform requested salon services efficiently and professionally.
- Perform administrative tasks, which may include closing out the system at the end of the day.
