Great Clips salons give Assistant Salon Managers the opportunity to do what you love, along with the tools, training, and support to lead with confidence. This role combines cutting hair with supporting daily salon operations and helping the team succeed. The Assistant Salon Manager role is often a stepping stone toward Salon Manager or other leadership positions. Assistant Salon Managers receive training in management and operations through Great Clips University (GCU), along with ongoing support and instruction from salon management.
Requirements
- Licensed stylist
- Active cosmetology license
- Minimum of 1 year behind the chair experience in a fast-paced salon
- Valid Cosmetology and/or Barber License
- Strong technical haircutting skills
- Great customer service
- A team-first mindset with a desire to encourage and support others
- Clear communication skills
- A positive, motivating attitude
- Organization
- Flexibility
- An interest in growing your leadership skills and taking on more responsibility
