Assistant Salon Manager
About The Position
The Assistant Salon Manager supports and motivates a team of stylists while continuing to cut hair and help with daily salon operations. The role is with a locally owned Great Clips salon in Palos Park and offers a busy, positive, team-oriented environment with incentive-based pay. Full-time stylists/assistant managers work a minimum of 32 hours per week and must be available for two evening shifts per week as well as Saturdays and/or Sundays. Candidates must have an Illinois Cosmetology License or be eligible to take the exam soon. The position offers a guaranteed hourly wage, tips, productivity pay, and a flexible schedule. Eligible benefits include paid time off, medical, dental, and vision insurance, and a 401(k) plan. Assistant Salon Managers receive management and operations training through Great Clips University, along with ongoing support from salon management. The role can offer opportunities to develop leadership skills and advance to Salon Manager or other leadership positions.
Requirements
- A valid Cosmetology and/or Barber License; for this location, an Illinois Cosmetology License or eligibility to take the exam soon is required.
