About The Position

The Assistant Salon Manager supports the salon team and daily operations while continuing to cut hair. The role suits a licensed stylist interested in leadership, helping others, staying organized, and taking on more responsibility. Assistant Salon Managers help motivate and support stylists, contribute to a smooth-running salon, and deliver quality haircuts and customer service. Training in management and operations is provided through Great Clips University (GCU), with ongoing support and instruction from salon management. The position may offer a path to Salon Manager or other leadership roles.

Requirements

• A valid cosmetology and/or barber license; requirements vary by state or province.
• Strong technical haircutting skills and great customer service.
• A team-first mindset and a desire to encourage and support others.
• Clear communication skills and a positive, motivating attitude.
• Organization, flexibility, and a desire to help keep the salon running smoothly.
• An interest in growing leadership skills and taking on more responsibility.
