About The Position

Join a locally owned Great Clips salon as an Assistant Salon Manager. This leadership role combines cutting hair with supporting daily salon operations and helping the team succeed. The role is suited to a licensed stylist who enjoys supporting others, staying organized, and taking on more responsibility. Management experience is not always required; an interest in leadership and supporting others is important. Training in management and operations is provided through Great Clips University (GCU), with ongoing support and instruction from salon management. The advertised starting pay is $17.00 per hour, with 18 to 30+ hours per week. The ideal candidate can work Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday shifts. The salon offers a busy customer base, a supportive team, bonus opportunities, and room to grow. Great Clips salons are independently owned and operated by franchisees, who are responsible for hiring and personnel matters.

Requirements

Valid cosmetology and/or barber license; requirements vary by state or province.
Strong technical haircutting skills.
Great customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

Prior management experience is helpful but not always required.
Availability for Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday shifts is ideal.
