About The Position

The Assistant Salon Leader (ASL) role at Hair Cuttery is for talented Stylists with leadership potential who want to step into management without giving up their shears. As the "Right Hand" to the Salon Leader, the ASL is responsible for maintaining high energy, ensuring guest satisfaction, and guiding the team. When the Salon Leader is absent, the ASL takes charge of the salon's operations. This role offers a blend of creative work behind the chair and development in business and leadership skills. The ASL will mentor the team, lead by example in guest interactions, and foster a positive salon culture. They will also learn about salon business operations, including performance metrics, strategic scheduling, and profitability. A key part of the role involves onboarding and supporting new team members.

Requirements

A current Cosmetology license for the state of application.
Full-time commitment (minimum 40 hours per week).
Physical stamina to stand for long periods.
Dexterity to perform all salon services with precision.
A great attitude.
Basic math skills for inventory and cash handling.
Stellar communication skills.
Personal equipment for daily use.

Responsibilities

Support daily operations, including managing the appointment book in Zenoti.
Ensure every guest has a positive experience.
Coach and mentor fellow stylists using the IGROW model to help them achieve their goals.
Ensure the salon adheres to State Board and OSHA standards.
Assist in executing local marketing partnerships and digital campaigns.
