About The Position

The Assistant Restaurant Manager works across disciplines as a member of the Food and Beverage team to deliver an exceptional guest experience. The role may involve working, learning, and growing in multiple restaurant outlets across the property, including all-day or fine-dining restaurants. The position combines outlet operations, employee leadership, guest relations, food and beverage expertise, expense control, and coordination with other departments.

Requirements

One to two years of previous experience in a Food & Beverage manager or assistant manager position.
Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Availability to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline employees, supervisors, and assistant managers in the restaurant outlet, ensuring cultural and core standards are met and supporting long-range operational planning.
Work across restaurant outlets around the property as an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager.
Maintain a visible presence in operations, recognize employees, promote good public relations, and handle guest, client, and group-contact complaints, concerns, and special requests.
Describe and ensure the quality of food items, ingredients, and preparation methods, and provide expert knowledge of wine and spirits.
Work with the Restaurant Manager, Assistant Director of Food & Beverage, Director of Food & Beverage, Executive Chef, and Sous Chefs to design menus and wine lists while ensuring product quality at a fair price.
Attend operational meetings to coordinate and cooperate effectively between departments.
Control labor and operating expenses through scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, inventory control, and cash control.
Observe the condition of outlet facilities and equipment and recommend corrections or improvements.
