About The Position

Assistant Restaurant Managers work under the supervision of the General Manager and are responsible for the day-to-day operations of their restaurant. They direct restaurant operations to ensure compliance with brand and health and safety standards, as well as acceptable financial performance. The role includes administrative, staffing, financial, guest-service, facility, and team-development responsibilities. When needed, the Assistant Restaurant Manager may also perform the duties of a Service Assistant, Line Cook, Server, or Bartender.

Requirements

Ability to read and write English.
Ability to speak clearly and respond to Fans and Players.
Stand and walk for 100% of the shift.
Frequently reach, bend, stoop, and wipe.
Lift and carry up to 50 pounds up to 20 times per shift, and place items on high shelves and in a walk-in cooler and/or freezer.
Work frequently in a damp, hot environment.
Work with an open flame.
Use sharp knives and utensils.
May use slicers or other kitchen machinery.
Hold items such as knives and pans for extended periods, with up to 5 pounds of weight.

Responsibilities

Assist with administrative duties, including ordering, receiving, inventory, scheduling, and vendor invoice management.
Source, interview, and hire candidates; train Players in their positions; delegate work; provide direction; and evaluate, counsel, and discipline Players as needed.
Oversee daily financial responsibilities, including cash handling, daily deposits, and authorizing comps and voids.
Investigate and resolve food-quality and service complaints.
Oversee cleaning and maintenance of equipment and the facility to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Assist with marketing strategy and implement advertising and promotional campaigns to increase business when needed.
Exemplify the organization’s desired culture and philosophies, lead by example, and foster mentoring relationships.
Provide performance feedback and reviews for Players and assist with their professional development.
Work effectively with the management team and Players, using initiative, judgment, discretion, and organizational skills to achieve goals and objectives.
Rectify Fan complaints.
Operate a computer and associated hardware and systems, including MS Office, the internet, and LMS.
Perform the duties of a Service Assistant, Line Cook, Server, or Bartender when needed.
Assist with other duties as needed, directed, or requested by a supervisor.
