About The Position
Kneaders Bakery & Cafe is seeking a talented Assistant Pastry Chef who is passionate about food quality, customer service, and community. The role is part of a team producing a menu of more than 40 fresh-baked pastries, pies, cakes, and muffins made with whole ingredients. Shifts start early, and morning/daytime availability is required. Full- or part-time positions are available.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have morning/daytime availability and be able to work early-start shifts.
- Must be able to lift supplies weighing 50 pounds or more.
- Must be able to stand and walk continuously throughout a shift, with limited opportunities to sit.
- Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must be adaptable to change and flexible at work.
Nice To Haves
- One or more years of large-scale baking or pastry experience, including working quickly to decorate pastries; preferred but not required.
- Formal baking or pastry education.
Responsibilities
- Follow recipes and pay close attention to detail when preparing pastries and baked goods.
- Decorate pastries quickly.
- Handle dough, flour, and other supplies weighing 50 pounds or more.
- Follow applicable food-handler and sanitation regulations.
