About The Position

Kneaders Bakery & Cafe is seeking a passionate Pastry Chef to join a team making a menu of more than 40 fresh-baked pastries, pies, cakes, and muffins with whole ingredients. The role involves following recipes, paying close attention to detail, decorating pastries, and adapting to changes while maintaining food quality and sanitation standards. Shifts begin early in the morning. Full- or part-time positions are available.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to lift dough, flour, and other supplies weighing 50 pounds or more.
• Ability to stand and walk continuously throughout the shift, with limited opportunities to sit.
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to adapt to change and remain flexible.
• Must be able to work early-starting shifts.

Nice To Haves

• One or more years of large-scale baking or pastry experience, including working quickly to decorate pastries; preferred but not required.
• Formal baking or pastry education.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes and carefully prepare pastries and other baked goods.
• Decorate pastries quickly and with attention to detail.
• Comply with local, state, and federal food-handler and sanitation regulations.
