About The Position

Kneaders Bakery & Cafe is seeking a talented Pastry Chef who is passionate about food quality, customer service, and community. The role is part of a team preparing a menu of more than 40 fresh-baked pastries, pies, cakes, and muffins using honest, whole ingredients. Shifts start early, typically at 4 a.m., and the position requires morning or daytime and Saturday availability. Kneaders locations are closed every Sunday, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. The position is available full-time or part-time.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be available for morning or daytime shifts and Saturdays.
Must be able to work early shifts, typically starting at 4 a.m.
Ability to lift dough, flour, and other supplies weighing 50 pounds or more.
Ability to stand and walk continuously throughout the shift, with limited opportunities to sit.
Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Attentiveness to local, state, and federal food-handler and sanitation standards.

Nice To Haves

One or more years of large-scale baking or pastry experience, including working quickly to decorate pastries; preferred but not required.
Formal baking or pastry education.
