About The Position

Kneaders Bakery & Cafe is hiring a part-time Assistant Pastry Chef to help prepare and decorate pastries and other baked goods using recipes and whole ingredients. The position is part of a team producing a menu of more than 40 fresh-baked pastries, pies, cakes, and muffins. Shifts start early in the morning. The role requires attention to detail, adaptability, and compliance with food-handling and sanitation standards. Employees receive a free meal during each shift and food and retail discounts. Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to lift dough, flour, and other supplies weighing 50 pounds or more.
• Continuous standing and walking throughout the shift, with limited opportunities for sitting.
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to work early-starting shifts.
• Attentiveness to local, state, and federal food-handler and sanitation standards.

Nice To Haves

• One or more years of large-scale baking or pastry experience, including working quickly to decorate pastries (preferred, not required).
• Formal baking or pastry education (a bonus, not required).
