About The Position

Kneaders Bakery & Cafe is seeking a Pastry Chef passionate about food quality, customer service, and community. The role is part of a team producing a menu of more than 40 fresh-baked pastries, pies, cakes, and muffins made with whole ingredients. Positions are available full-time or part-time and require morning/daytime availability; shifts start early. The job involves following recipes, carefully preparing and decorating baked goods, and adapting to change while monitoring baking. Employees receive a free meal during each shift, food and retail discounts, and hourly pay with the opportunity to earn tips. Locations are closed every Sunday, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Morning/daytime availability is required, and shifts start early.
Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to stand and walk continuously throughout the shift, with limited opportunities to sit.
Ability to lift dough, flour, and other supplies weighing 50 pounds or more.
Attentiveness to local, state, and federal food-handler and sanitation regulations.

Nice To Haves

One or more years of large-scale baking or pastry experience, including working quickly to decorate pastries; preferred but not required.
Formal baking or pastry education.

Responsibilities
