About The Position

Albemarle is hiring an Assistant Operator to work on site at the Albemarle Silver Peak Lithium Mine in Silver Peak, Nevada. The position supports plant operations and the Plant Operator, helps maintain a safe and orderly workplace, and participates on the Emergency Response Team. The role involves working at heights, climbing ladders up to 40 feet, and handling objects weighing less than 50 pounds.

Requirements

• Demonstrate the ability to safely follow written procedures and maintain accurate records.
• Demonstrate a basic understanding of computer operation.
• Meet the physical demands requirements described on the Physical Demands checklist.
• Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Be willing to work at heights.
• Be able to wear a respirator.

Nice To Haves

• Industrial operations experience.
• Military operations experience.
• OSHA/MSHA certification.

Responsibilities

• Support the Plant Operator in collecting samples.
• Support the Plant Operator in the daily operation of transfer pumps.
• Support the Plant Operator in collecting monthly information.
• Maintain housekeeping within the plant.
• Fill in for the Plant Operator as needed.
• Communicate daily activities and information to the Plant Operator.
• Maintain daily and weekly work-list tasks.
• Assist the supervisor with other duties needed to accomplish department goals.
• Assist other departments as needed to accomplish company goals.
• Work safely, efficiently, cleanly, and conscientiously to support department safety goals.
• Participate on the Emergency Response Team.
